Aldo B. Consigli, Jr., Co-Founder and Co-Owner of the Firm

Attorney Aldo Consigli was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, and his family settled in Milford and later Upton. He graduated from Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon, Massachusetts, in 1965, where he was an outstanding basketball and baseball player, and attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, graduating in 1969 with a BA in Economics. He then went on to Villanova School of Law where he received his JD in 1972.

Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1972, Attorney Consigli has devoted a large portion of his career to title examination and real estate conveyancing.

He was employed as an Attorney and a Title Examiner by Worcester County Abstract Company in Worcester from 1972 through 1976. Thereafter, he entered private practice as a solo practitioner until 1978. In February of that year, he and attorney Charles Brucato founded the firm of Consigli and Brucato PC.

During his career, Attorney Consigli has performed thousands of real estate title examinations and conducted thousands of real estate closings. He has also represented real estate lenders in both commercial and residential real estate transactions. In addition, Attorney Consigli's practice includes family law, criminal defense, probate, and small business organization.

Attorney Consigli is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts (formerly Massachusetts Conveyancers Association). Several banks for which he has performed conveyancing work include the Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association, Milford National Bank & Trust Company, Worcester County Institution for Savings, Milford Federal Savings & Loan, Home National Bank of Milford, Strata Bank, Medway Co-Operative Savings Bank, Wells Fargo Bank™, Countrywide Bank, GMAC Bank, and Local 170 Teamsters Federal Credit Union. In addition, he has done similar work for several mortgage companies. Attorney Consigli is a Title Insurance Agent for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company™. He is a past president of the Upton Kiwanis Club and a former Selectman for the Town of Upton and in 2007, he was selected as Distinguished Attorney by the St. Thomas Moore Society.

Charles J. Brucato, Jr., Co-Founder and Co-Owner of the Firm

Attorney Charles Brucato was born on March 16, 1947 in Milford, Massachusetts. He attended Milford Public Schools and graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1965. While at Deerfield, attorney Brucato played varsity football and was an outstanding pitcher on the undefeated 1965 varsity baseball team.

He went on to the University of Vermont where he earned three letters in baseball and he graduated in 1969 with a BA in Political Science. While there, he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and participated in the Army ROTC program.

Charles J. Brucato, Jr.

Thereafter, he attended and graduated from the Artillery Officers' Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After college, attorney Brucato attended Boston College Law School where he graduated in 1972 with a JD.

After being admitted to practice in 1973, attorney Brucato was employed by the law firm of McGuire and Collias, Inc., in Fall River, Massachusetts. He also served as a First Lieutenant in the Massachusetts National Guard in Middleboro.

While at McGuire and Collias, attorney Brucato was involved in the firm's insurance company defense practice working on personal injury, product liability, and workers compensation cases. He also did work in the area of plaintiff personal injury.

In addition to these areas, attorney Brucato did a substantial amount of real estate conveyancing work. He performed hundreds of title examinations on both residential and commercial real estate. He also was the attorney in the firm responsible for handling real estate closings for First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Fall River and Westport Federal Credit Union.

In 1978, attorney Brucato moved back to his hometown of Milford and was the co-founder of Consigli and Brucato PC. He serves as the Managing Partner of the firm. Since 1978, he has devoted much of his time to trial practice in the areas of plaintiff personal injury, medical malpractice, general liability, and employment law, as well as workers compensation and criminal defense. He has tried both jury cases and jury-waived cases in the Superior Courts and District Courts of Massachusetts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and Southern District of New York.

Attorney Brucato has argued appeals in the Massachusetts Appellate Division of the District Court and the Massachusetts Appeals Court, as well as in both the Federal First and Second Circuit Courts of Appeals.

In 2001, Attorney Brucato secured a jury verdict of $534,500.00 (later reduced by the trial judge) in the case of Fiori vs. Truck Drivers Local 170, which was tried in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. That case was later affirmed on appeal in the First Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2004, after a jury-waived trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, he obtained a judgment which totaled over $1,400,000.00, with interest, in the case of Tusino vs. International Brotherhood of Teamsters. This judgment was later reduced on appeal in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

In addition to his trial practice, attorney Brucato devotes a significant amount of time to real estate law and small business formation. Like attorney Consigli, he has also done title examinations on both residential and commercial real estate for Milford Federal Savings and Loan Association, Milford National Bank & Trust Company, Home National Bank of Milford, and Milford Savings Bank.

Brian A. Consigli

Brian A. Consigli Associate

Attorney Brian A. Consigli was born in Worcester, Massachusetts and is the oldest of four children of Aldo B. Consigli, Jr. and Elizabeth G. Consigli. He is a native of Upton, Massachusetts and a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. While at St. John’s, Consigli was an outstanding athlete on the varsity football, baseball and track and field teams. After high school, he attended Williams College, where he was a four-year member of the varsity track and field team and two-year member of the varsity football team. After injuries curtailed his playing football, Consigli concentrated on Track and Field where, in both his junior and senior years, he earned All American status in the Hammer Throw. He graduated from Williams in 1995.

After college, Consigli worked in the private sector in sales. He graduated from the University of Maine School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2003. He joined the firm in 2003 and has been involved in general practice with an emphasis on real estate conveyancing, personal injury, divorce and child custody actions, collections, criminal law, bankruptcy and workers compensation.

Since joining the firm, Attorney Consigli has tried cases in the Massachusetts Superior Court, District Court of Massachusetts, Bankruptcy Court, Housing Court, Probate and Family Court of Massachusetts and at the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. He has also done significant work in the Superior Court and in the Bankruptcy Court, where he represents mainly debtors. A significant part of his practice involves Bankruptcy, Probate and Family Court work including divorces, modifications of divorce judgments, paternity, and child custody actions. Consigli is involved in real estate, where he has represented both lenders and consumers at real estate closings.

He now resides in Mendon, Massachusetts with his wife and three children.

Suzette A. Ferreira Associate

Attorney Suzette A. Ferreira is a life-long resident of Milford, Massachusetts. She attended Milford Public School and graduated from Milford High School in 1991. After high school, she attended Boston College where she graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1995. While at Boston College, she was a Dean’s List student.

In 1997, she accepted a position at Fidelity Investments in Smithfield, Rhode Island where she worked until October of 2001. Her last position there was a Policy Business Analyst. In the fall of 2001, she became the New Construction Manager at D & F Afonso Builders, Inc. in Milford, a position which she held until July, 2006. While working full-time in that position, she enrolled as a student at Suffolk University Law School. She graduated as a Dean’s List student with a Juris Doctor Degree in 2005.

Suzette A. Ferreira

Attorney Ferreira was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2006 and on July 10, 2006, she accepted a position as an associate attorney with Consigli and Brucato, P.C. She is fluent in the Portuguese language and proficient in Spanish.

Since joining the firm, Attorney Ferreira has involved herself in real estate, personal injury, criminal, family and workers compensation law. She has appeared in the Probate and Family Court, Superior Court, and several Massachusetts District Courts.

She has tried jury and jury waived cases and has significant experience in civil cases in the District Court. In addition she has substantial experience in Municipal Law and has represented individuals before the local selectmen, Planning Boards and Zoning Boards of Appeal.

Attorney Ferreira continues to live in Milford with her husband and two children.
